I am Dent-de-Lion du Midi. I was the Director of Digital Research for the LEGO Group A/S. I founded Darwin, our lab of 125+ engineers, researchers and artists that brought LEGO into the world of digital 3D games, interactive media, and feature films. link
PROJECT
I am now directing and producing our second short film, The Mysterious Studio of Lionel Lumen, which is in full production.
We have the film production budget in hand. We are seeking additional funds for engineering a new suite of Virtual Film Tools to share exclusively on FAB. As we create the film, we discover tools we need, and we are certain that other film artists will benefit greatly from our tool suite.
Unreal Engine is a superlative game engine. To reach our ambitions for digital cinematography we need film-focused tools. We are focused on building and sharing extraordinary Virtual Film Tools for the community to help make Unreal an outstanding film engine.
An EPIC Mega Grant will fund a select group of top Ukrainian UE devs who are struggling with an exceedingly difficult life and work situation. This will make a huge difference in many impacted lives there.
STATUS
The film is greenlit, and in full production. We are completing Preview One as of this writing. link (Mon. April 14th, 2025)
SCREENPLAY
The screenplay for the film is complete. link
BUDGET
We are looking for a grant of USD 80,000. An item-list budget is at our accountant’s and will be posted here by May 1st.
VIRTUAL FILM TOOLS
We have a growing list of Virtual Film Tools in development. Descriptions of tools will be posted here starting May 10th.
MARKETING AND PR
IMDB Pro will go live with Preview One in May. More social media sites, and links, will follow as we get closer to the film’s release.
